I am Zana from the Summer Learning Journey team. Your “Animal Tricksters” post is such an eye-opening look at how animals use “magic” to survive in the wild.

You did a brilliant job looking into the different ways animals play tricks on their predators and prey. You picked out some great examples that really show how clever nature can be. It makes us look at the trees and bushes a lot more closely, doesn’t it? Out of your four options I think that the regular house cats doesn’t belong as it is the only one that doesn’t live in the snow!

Did you know? Some tricksters are so good that they don’t just change colour, they change their texture too! The Octopus, which I know you’ve looked at before, can make its skin bumpy to look like a rock or smooth to look like sand in just a few seconds.

If you could have one “trickster” power, like being able to change your colour to match your bedroom wall or being able to mimic anyone’s voice, which one would you choose?

    Keep up the amazing blogging,

    Zana (SLJ Team)
